Lemon Tree

Electric Man came today and condemned the pump supplied with the new boiler as unfit for purpose due to a faulty connection. He managed to get the pump working by propping up the connection with a stick from the garage.

Boiler Man arrived later this afternoon and set to replacing the pump and commissioning the boiler. This appears to be working OK now judging by the amount of steam bellowing out of the outlet (and the fact the radiators are warming up).

In between the two events we took off for Redditch to visit our friends Nicola and Stewart. They prepared a yummy lunch of white fish on a spiced couscous base baked in paper. This was followed by apple and blackberry crumble and washed down with a pint of Badger Blandford Flyer and white wine.

We sat in the conservatory for coffee after lunch; the photo is of a lemon tree they have in there.
