A day out with Thomas

Today we had a very excited boy - we were off for a day with Thomas!

We arrived just in time to see Thomas being filled with water, so we joined the queue to tip in a bucket. We then met the fat controller, who gave us a ticket (well a sticker for the kids) and then we didn't have long to wait before it was time to board the train for our train ride. Unfortunately Thomas couldn't pull the coaches (he was needed for photos) but his friend was more than happy to help out!

The train ride was brilliant - we ended up in the old fashion coach with soft comfy seats in a private cabin! Although GD, S2, and CJ spent a lot of time looking (and hanging) out the windows in the corridor.

When we arrived back at the platform, it was then our turn to have photos with a Thomas and Percy. I think LJ was one of the youngest babies they had ever seen!

We then had time for a picnic lunch before it was time to fill Thomas again. This time GD took CJ and they handed the bucket of water to the Engineer.

It was then time to head home - with one very tired boy, who was asleep before we left the car park.
