Tel's Blips

Victoriana

After the overnight winds I traveled to the South of the Island in the hope of seeing some big waves. Surprisingly the whole of Sandown Bay was quite calm and warm with strollers taking the sea air as though it was Spring and not the tail end of a hurricane.

Dotted along the promenade at Shanklin are these wonderful old Victorian shelters a real sign of times gone by, still getting good use today.
