Today was the first of my two day ticket on the hop-on/hop-off bus, which turned out to be good value for money with a very informative commentary via headphones. When you hop off you just stuff your headphones in your bag and then plug them back in on the next bus.

Quite a time was spent queuing for a ticket to enter the basilica of La Sagrada Familia, luckily mostly in the shade, only to find that the time of entry I was allocated was two and a half hours later. So I got back on the bus and went to have a look round the Hospital de Sant Pau, photographed here, followed by lunch at a bar over the road... and quite a long conversation with the owner of the bar who was curious as to why an English woman was speaking Catalan to her.

Back to La Sagrada Familia after lunch and the hour or so that I spent inside was well worth the queuing and waiting as Gaudi's creation is breath-taking!
