A strong, commendable finish to her first season of Cross Country at her Finals meet today for my niece, Lauren. Despite a pulled groin muscle that happened early in the race, Lauren battled through the pain and finished the race strong. It broke my heart to witness her disappointment in her performance today, but felt excited when I thought about all the races I will have the pleasure of watching her run in the future. She's just getting started. . .
