Crimson Bottlebrush - Callistemon citrinus

Springtime bottlebrushes are blooming abundantly everywhere.
Often planted along the median strip of dual carriage ways, roadsides and of course gardens. The scrubbily branches are prefect hiding places for small birds and the bloomed and seed (later) provide a good food source.

Interesting facts:
Callistenmon are closely related to paperbark melaleucas.
