Leaving Kökar

After packing and loading the car in the morning we headed to Harparnäs harbor on Kökar to take the ferry to Korpo island. It was a foggy and wet morning, the air temperature was +1°C.

The weather was as melancholic as we were leaving this wonderful island. But I cannot complain, we have had an amazing week, experiencing more than we could have asked for.

This time the ferry was almost on time, the fairway in the ice was not freezing at this temperature. It took as two hours and a half to get to Korpo, and from there, there were the two other ferries and after that we were on the mainland.

The weather got a lot worse while driving towards Espoo, it started snowing and the road was in quite a bad shape. Timo had really to concentrate himself driving and there were a couple quite slippery moments. We got home after a 7 hours' drive this time.

Here is Timo's video of our ferry trip from Kökar to Korpo

In the middle of the coastline there is a small looking building (it is not easy to spot). It is The Church and the Monastery roof of Kökar.
