Fishermen, Greenbank Park

Liverpool parks (3). I was told that fishing is the most popular participant sport (sport?) in the country. (Not sure how many women participate.) I used to go fishing once a year, after the May elections, at Trawsfynedd Lake in North Wales and I must admit that it was a most relaxing day. The trouble was that the water was a little warm and the trout a little large. Around the corner was a nuclear power plant- since decommissioned. It rather put me off fishing.

Greenbank Park is one of 7 parks in close proximity in South Liverpool. It was opened in 1897 after the council bought the land from the Rathbone family.
