Gotta Laugh

Not sure what was so surprising here tonight; the fact that Noel Fielding shunned the usual Glasgow or Edinburgh venues (last time we saw him was on a big stadium tour as part of The Mighty Boosh in the big aircraft hangar of a stadium that the SECC in Glasgow is), or the fact that the theatre itself is such a wee gem.

Proper rib-ticklin' night out it was, though maybe just a wee bit full on and a bit 'out there' for an alcohol free Wednesday evening. Genuinely felt like the turn was engaged with the crowd, especially when he asked for some advice from the very Scottish audience how he might improve a, by his own admission, rubbish Scottish accent whilst he was narrating a story that accompanied a stop-motion animation starring a plasticine Joey Ramone, David Bowie (as the Goblin King from Labyrinth) and a flatulent reverse minotaur that had the body of a bull and the head of one of the guys off of Masterchef.

Yeah, that kind of night.
