Yesterday's strong winds haven't affected the Kessock Bridge columns, or lamposts. Just a bit of fisheye lens distortion fun for a change. Haven't used this lens for a while, so we'll have some wider views for a day or two... or more.

'Scuse the bit of finger sneaking into the corner of the frame. Need to take more care with finger placement near the hood of this lens - almost everything is seen by it.

Not the best lens to catch the mini-drama going on the far left of the frame - barely visible in even the large version. Saw the lifeboat launch when I stopped here in the middle of the bridge, "That's odd? They normally do training on a Monday evening, not Wednesday." Turned out they were on a rescue mission... less than 40 metres from the station! The strong winds had either caused a wee boat to come adrift from the other side of the Beauly Firth, or the boat had lost power, and was being blown towards the North Kessock shore. Whatever, they towed it back towards the Inverness side, straight into that wind. Fortunately there wasn't much tide running at the time.
