Loe Bar Trengrouse Memorial

Around 100 men were drowned when HMS Anson sank in 1807. This disaster inspired Henry Trengrouse to develop a system of rocketry to transport cables to wrecks, saving countless sailors over the years. This is a memorial to Anson and Trengrouse on the Loe Bar, neat Porthleven in Cornwall.
