A wonderful walk to Sidmouth

It was a beautiful sunny day and we decided to do the cliff top walk from Budleigh to Sidmouth. This view was taken from Ladram Bay and shows the view towards Sidmouth. You can just make out the great tea house at the top of Jacobs Ladder (the white structure climbing up the red cliff in the far right corner).

We had just climbed the highest hill when we bumped into old friends walking towards us. I'm so glad they serve such large portions of cake at the tea shop as the planned return trip by bus didn't take place. It's now the winter timetable and they don't run on Sunday. It was a much longer walk than planned but nevertheless a great day.
