Heading home

Lots of travel lately, keeping pace with all the activity and constant stream of new products in the motor industry, but it is always nice to come home again. However beautiful or dramatic the scenery has been when you're away, there is something really welcoming and reassuring about coming back to land in beautiful England.

We had an early start this morning from the hotel used for the Skoda Fabia launch, to travel back to Lisbon airport for the flight home. It was a useful reminder that the London rush-hour and the morning endurance trial of the M25 is not a uniquely British experience. This morning's traffic around Lisbon was nightmarish. No, the irony of sitting in heavy traffic on my way back from another car launch is not lost on me.

As we came in to land back at Luton, I loved seeing the patchwork of Bedfordshire fields below us on the flight path. Looking forward to a relaxing couple of days now before it all revs up again next week! Have a good weekend everyone.
