Bobbing for Apples?

As I sat next to the pond eating my lunch in Farnborough, I spotted this apple in the water, and it bought to mind the game of Apple Bobbing - traditionally played at Halloween which is fast approaching. A pair of ducks looked interested, but I doubt anyone would really want to bob for this one!
