Derelict Mayfair

The G1 listed former Naval & Military club in Piccadilly may eventually become London's most expensive mansion but at the moment it's still standing derelict as it has for years now.

Yay! The rain held off for my Bright Young Things walk this afternoon. A literary romp round 1920s Mayfair. I did feel a slight sense of trepidation (and some half-hearted drizzle) when I read, “Adam bought a paper. He had just ten shillings left in the world. It was too wet to walk, so he took a very crowded tube train to Dover Street…” from Evelyn Waugh's Vile Bodies.
