What Color is My Parachute?

Our first full day in town began slowly as we continued exploring our new condo and all the bells and whistles that came with it (two cell phones! but still trying to figure out how to use them).

After several strong cups of coffee on the veranda, we headed off down a long, long, twisting, turning flight of very uneven stairs that connected our street with the beach and Malecon. The sun was out in full force, and the air was already thick and heavy and very humid. Tourists at this time of year are mostly locals from other areas of Mexico. The full onslaught of North Americans comes still later in the season.

I was somewhat tempted to give this parasail a try, but we continued our stroll, revisiting favorite spots from last year while discovering new ones. I'm pleased (and relieved) with how quickly I'm settling down from multi-tasking work mode, to enjoying the moment, and savoring this wonderful environment. I couldn't be happier right now.
