It's not where you start.....

At Goodwood Motor Circuit today at the end of our day out to celebrate Ben’s birthday. Looking across the airfield to Chichester, you can just pick out the Cathedral Spire. On the left is the radar array for the airfield.

Behind me is the little memorial garden set up by Dunlop to commemorate Brooklands Race Track (1907-1935) which includes the memorial to Bruce McLaren, the New Zealand Racing Car Designer, Driver, Engineer and Inventor. His name lives on in the Formula One racing team, one of the most successful teams of all time. Such a nice quiet corner of Goodwood.

I like the motto on one of the other memorial stones:

It’s not where you start,
it’s where you finish.
