Maiden Castle.

A lovely walk from the 'new' town of Poundbury ,just outside Dorchester, to Maiden Castle today. The Hillfort dates back forever ! and is a complex of deep ditches and banks.On the top is a huge relatively flat area where to our surprise we met friends doing some serious kite flying.
On all the hillforts in all the world....etc etc.
