Autumn gold

Catch-up Sunday. Energised by an extra hour in bed, I have been catching up with household jobs, all the tedious domestic chores that are mind-numbingly dull but someone has to do them.

Also catching up with a week's worth of The Archers on the Omnibus edition, and catching up with my good friend who is over from Canada again on one of her very regular visits to see her 90-something mum.

Now that the clocks have gone back, the evening draws in earlier and winter seems to be speeding towards us again. The sky looked distinctly autumnal when I popped out at 4 pm, but the sinking sun did cast a lovely golden glow.
