Venice Beach sunset

So, the sun went down on our fantastic Canamerican roadtrip. We drove into Los Angeles, but didn't really have time to do anything other than stop at the Santa Monica end of Venice Beach and paddle for half an hour or so, before having to take the car to the rental drop-off and get our plane back home.

We've had just a brilliant holiday. Everything worked out ok, we only got bipped twice in the car, we caught up with some fantastic friends, met some more lovely people, ate and drank far too much lovely food, wine and beer, had cakes for breakfast most days, saw loads and whetted our appetites to potentially return to many of the places we saw and stopped at en route.

Stats-wise, we drove 1,862 miles, took us 52 hours behind the wheel, average mpg 26.8...

I think we'll be back. Maybe not soon, but I'd like to think we will return one day.
