A Pillar of Strength

Spring is here - this is the first time I've managed to blip before work, thanks to the beautiful crisp morning.

This pillar belongs, rather grandly, to one of the gatehouses on the local Estate. I love these buildings which reinforce the importance and the grandeur of the "big house." And while the gatehouse looks impressive, its really not a very big house to live in!
