View down to Gokyo Valley from Gokyo Ri.

This is a holiday with a difference...

Up at 3am after a night of no sleep in case we did not wake!
03:30 leave the lodge and start a 600m+ climb of Gokyo Ri - ouff - to 5,357m.
Sunrise towards Everest, exhausted at the summit. Pema carried my and Claire's rucksacks - shamed. David miles ahead of us, must be his age!
Beautiful views down to the three first Gokyo lakes and the village of lodges as we came down by 09:00.
Back to bed till midday.
Now a prayer for internet connection.
