In Clumber Park

Where did the sunshine go? We had two whole days of sunshine forecast. It didn't happen.

I'd been meaning to visit Clumber Park in north Notts ever since I saw it advertised as a location in Outdoor Photography this summer. Somehow, I never managed to get up in time to drive there for sunrise. Today, I thought I might catch the hour before sunset.

I didn't really. This was taken at around 4 pm so it's a long exposure and you can see the movement of leaves in the foreground. Plus there was no sun. The drives are lined with lime trees. Another week and a stiff breeze, they will be denuded of leaves.

It's a wonderful place to visit. Unless you're a National Trust member, expect to pay £6.50 for parking.
