Beaumaris Castle

Despite the pouring rain today we have visited Beaumaris Castle, the kids have had a fantastic time running around the walls and up and down the turrets.

Beaumaris was begun in 1295 and was the last, and largest, of the castles to be built by Edward I and suggested to be the most sophisticated example of medieval architecture in Britain, it was however, never fully completed.

That aside, it's pretty cool to run around too ;-)
