Glorious light

This morning the light was glorious on the way to work and there was a red kite over the church in the village. I didn't have a long and fast lens with me, so instead it's a picture of the church instead.

The foundations and some of the innards are old, but almost everything you see in this picture are only about a century old as it was rebuilt several times in the nineteenth century, with some work not being completed well into the twentieth.

After work we had badminton then a fascinating SafeSci in town. We had someone from the OU down to talk about the ESA mission to land a space probe on a comet! The talk was very good and there were plenty of questions - which is always a good sign. It was also the first speaker to use Linux on their presentation laptop.
