Monday

It is now a month since we arrived in Italy and the time of departure looms. Tomorrow we head to Milan's Linate airport and the return to Aberdeen.

Just time for one more trip on the ferry, over to Lazise this time, a small town just over an hour by boat from Sirmione. It is Monday morning, traditionally not the busiest time in Italy, many of the shops are closed Monday morning, and a lot of restaurants choose this as their closing day. Still the town was quite busy, and there are still a lot of tourists around despite the late season.

The ferries are now on their autumn timetable so we did not have much time here. A walk around the town and a pause for lunch, then return to Sirmione mid afternoon. This did mean we got back to Colombare in plenty of time for a last late afternoon visit to the bar before dinner.
