TT testing

Luck was with us today. The area of Scotland we were in - across the Erskine Bridge north of Glasgow, past Loch Fyne, up to Inverary and the road to Rest and Be Thankful - has had several days of torrential rain. Today, though, the weather was mellow and blissfully calm, while the loch water was mirror-still.

The only problems were a land slip that blocked one road and a lorry that went off on a bend and blocked another, making us all undertake a huge detour. But compared with more than a month's worth of rain falling in the previous three days, we were lucky.

We were there for the launch drive of the new Audi TT, and apart from a rather harsh ride and a bit too much road noise, we loved it. There are some very neat features, such as the satnav map display between the instruments and the heater controls built into the air vents.

As for our 'haunted' hotel, Mar Hall, there were happily no more spooky occurences. Phew.
