Pacific Ocean from Coast Starlight Train #14

We are homeward bound on the Coast Starlight train.

The views of the Pacific Ocean as we roll along are endlessly entertaining in their variety and their beauty.

The Union Pacific Railroad tracks go further inland north of San Luis Obispo into the Salinas Valley.

The undulating scenery the approach to valley provides is equally breathtaking with very dramatic lighting as the sun sets.

We're looking forward to the sunrise somewhere near the California / Oregon border.
