Sint Annakerk

The Sint Annachurch - or also called the New Church - located in Haarlems Vijfhoek is not our largest church, but that doesn't mean it is not a very special building.

It even conquered a unique place in 'The Great Books of World Art' series thanks to Jacob van Campen's quest to resemble it like the Temple of Jerusalem (as people of 'the reformation' believed it to look like in 1649)
The tower was added in the Dutch Renaissance style by the Haarlems town acrchitect Lieven de Key.

It makes it almost just an odd building as yesterdays synagogue mosque ;-)

Have a nice Halloween tomorrow!
