Dive prep

A day doing Reef Check pointy (science team pointing out fish / coral / invert species underwater) and validation (tests on recognition of these species) dives at Lime Kiln bay. This bay is quite small but has a resident chicken and Amiva (lizard) population as well as frequent visits by Turtles to lay eggs.

We had a talk on turtle egg laying and preservation from the Montserrat turtle hatchery man - he collects the eggs from fresh nests, incubates them, and releases them at optimum times from the relevant beach. Did you know you can eat the fleshy skin of the almond nut fruit?
