A day of "Why?!"

Huddsbird and I decided on a day at Yorkshire Sculpture Park. An interesting choice for us as our approach to some artwork is very similar "Why?!" It made for a good laugh. There are some great sculptures there and it is a lovely place for a walk. We went down through the woods and around the lake (if it had any water left in it). We saw lots of sculptures, more than I've ever seen before.

The last one we saw was the crystallised bedsit which had been saved from destruction, had crystals formed in it, transported from London under police escort and placed in a specially built structure ...... why????? It was a big box with blue crystals on the walls and ceiling which could have been done there. Am I missing something??????? I must be, because it was nominated for the Turner Prize. Sorry art lovers, this one is not for me, although I do like the crystals.

As you can tell, we didn't take it too seriously!

A great day of friendship and a lovely evening meal before heading home.
