The field

This is the view from our garden across the field next door.  The field is owned by a charity, and we pay £30/year for the privilege of walking Fido in there.

The shadow is from "our" oak tree.  Walter is a tree lover, and was thrilled to find that we had a good sized oak tree in our garden.

Another lovely day.  I finished weeding the front yard, and we treated ourselves to a trip to the garden centre.  Ended up spending far more than we intended.  We bought some Pittosporum plants, to use as a hedge between us and the field - the intention is that it will be tall enough to give us some privacy, but short enough that we can stand and gaze over it.
