A great win

Today Newport hosted Llanelli, a tough outfit from west Wales. Newport were in desperate need for a win after far too many loses at the start of the season and Llanelli were not going to be easy.

But the game was exciting, just a shame only 650 turned out to see it. Half time came and Newport were in the lead, just. The second half was more of the same, Newport kept the pressure up until Llanelli finally broke. 2 quick tries, after a clear try was disallowed, turned the match clearly in Newport's favour. Final score, Newport 30 Llanelli 19, a great result.
