Messing Around in the Mud

A fun few hours today wallowing in the mud at the BBOWT C S Lewis Nature Reserve.

We've been clearing one of the less frequented ponds on the reserve - less frequented both by human visitors and by the wildlife. Hopefully clearing some of the encroaching and overhanging vegetation will make it more attractive to both next spring.
