Field Trip...

Bethany's homework, amongst other things #, was to make up a comic of the Guy Fawkes story. We decided to take a field trip to the local comic shop up in Dunfermline.

We asked the owner about applicable comics for kids that he might have and he showed us the 'all ages' comics. After a wee discussion on what we were doing, he offered us a bunch of free comics from the recent Halloween free comic book day comics that he had left over, even a rather natty wee hardback book that was written specifically to be used as a reading to... type book, to encourage routes into reading.

I picked up my folder books and we bade them farewell. It's nice to see someone knowledgable and enjoying their trade.

#She does get some 'less fun' standard homework assignments. The part on adjectives and adverbs was particularly painful for all of us, but we got through it.
