Starling perch

A backblip as I had a busy day yesterday.

Yesterday afternoon I went for a walk along part of the disused stretch of the Montgomery Canal, it's always good for wildlife as it's undisturbed by boats. There were lots of berries around and we saw a flock of redwings and fieldfare feeding on them. We also saw a pair of nuthatches, goldfinches and a blackcap so plenty of birds around.

On the way home I spotted around a hundred starlings sitting in the sun on telegraph wires. Too early for a murmuration but I expect they would be putting on a display at dusk.
