Nuthatch

Today we drove up to Leighton Moss Nature Reserve, where Autumnwatch 2014 was filmed and shown recently on TV.

Whilst we were there we became members of the RSPB, as we really love attracting birds to our garden and do all we can to make sure they are all well fed!

The reserve was stunning and there were so many different species of birds to photograph. I took lots of shots of various types of birds but this beautiful Nuthatch took my eye in particular. He looked like he was doing a little dance in anticipation of getting some food.

We have a lovely painting of a Nuthatch but have never seen one in the flesh before.

I think this will be quite a regular place for us to visit from now on!
