Its awfy wet

With the dig getting a bit of media coverage, it was important this morning to have a site presence. However, the weather continued to deteriorate and after the media left, it became clear we were begining to do more damage than good. It is difficult to carefully excavate ephemeral sandy features when you are as big as the Michelin Man, dressed in layers of 'waterproofs' that long since ceased to be waterproof.

We had another job to look into at Callanish so decided to head over there. The weather was undoubtedly worse on the west side of the island, with rain driving horizontally into your face and stinging your skin.

It isn't easy to take pictures in such weather!
