See the sea

We went for a walk after school today.

It's the first time we've been down to the beach since the middle of summer and I'd forgotten how amazing the colours are down by the sea this time of year.

So much sky! We ran about on the sand for a bit - both kids spun around and chased the birds and then we headed home for a hot chocolate and a wee warm up.

I do love this time of year - I always have. The last hoorah before the deep winter wraps round us and traps us indoors for a few months.

I think I'll plan a few more blustery walks before it becomes an impossible task to prise the kids out of the warmth for a while.
