WASP nest

As I said here before, this weekend I'm fixing our roof from a leak. I've removed some rotten plank, and as I looked into the hole I found this enormous wasp nest. I could put in my little Ixus an take this blip. It's in the size of a big beach ball, and as I pointed the camera around I later could see at least one more almost as big as this one in there.

I'm leaving them alone, if I should pick them out I will have to bring up a much bigger hole in the roof. They're doing no harm now as they appears to be uninhabited.

But what if it would have been occupied as I started to saw up this hole....huh
