Freak storm hits New plymouth, Taranaki New Zealan

Impressive convection cloud with the distinctive mammatus cloud. This was a swift moving system that brought a freak hail storm of epic proportions to new plymouth less than 10 minutes after this photo was snapped at around 4pm. . I have always loved mammatus cloud formations. When I arrived home at 7:20pm the streets still had piles of white mush that made it look like it had snowed!
