lost faces

I found this postcard of a (presumably) married or engaged couple in the John Johnson Collection of Printed Ephemera at the Bodleian. Nothing is known about them except that they wanted to have their photo taken together, that he was a British Army sergeant, and that she came from south Asia, probably India. This is a very unusual image for this period.
