Day 1 - Markha Valley Trek (Chilling to Skyu)

Trekking through the Himalayas, well a nice introduction anyway! The colourful shear canyon walls of the lower Markha Valley greeted us on day one. We gradually headed up the valley, passing small farms, stupas and nothing else except sparse stunning scenery. After about 3 hours, we arrived at our very basic, but lovely home-stay, accompanied with playful toddler. When I asked where he'll go to school when he's older, they said 'Chilling' - where we started the trek today! Kind of put our little trek into a bit of perspective!
