Collecting ready for packing

All year people have been knitting sewing collecting goods, shoe boxes and toys for 'Operation Christmas Child'
Now is the time a group of us meet and put all these things together so that children in The poorest part of Europe who have absolutely nothing - have a gift of a prettily covered shoe box full of pencils,pens,paper toys, sweets a woolly hat and scarf and a cuddly toy and the basics such as soap flannel comb toothbrush and paste.

We have seen the DVD's taken when they receive their gifts and the absolute astonishment and delight and wonder on their faces is worth every back breaking hour we spend packing these gifts.

Our group usually pack around 2,000 boxes and schools and groups all over the country are packing too. They eventually go off by lorry early in December.
