Guy Fawkes night

Also known as Bonfire night.

An annual commemoration observed on this date in GB, it's history dating back to 1605 when. Guy Fawkes a member of the gunpowder plot was arrested while guarding explosives that had been placed under the House of Lords. Celebrating the fact that king James 1 had survived the attempt on his life, people lit bonfires around London, and months later the introduction of the observance of 5th November act enforced an annual public day of thanksgiving for the plots failure. So today people still celebrate and light fires and set off fireworks as a celebration.

Personally we hate it!!! :( the chis are scared but Roo is in fact maning up on this blip to show you a local unlit fire.
