Pileated Woodpecker

This male Pileated Woodpecker was not shy about having his photo taken this afternoon. Moira and I took the girls out side for a short walk late this afternoon before we left to go visit another Blipper friend Debbi. We heard this woodpecker before we saw him. His pretty wings gave him away as he flew from one pine tree to another. If you look closely you can see that the male has a red mustache. I think they are cute looking. This is the largest woodpecker at 19 inches. I was feeling very blessed to have a great blip fly in my yard. Hope everyone had a wonderful Wednesday!
