Aqua Alta and a lot of rain made for a soggy day

St Mark's Square yesterday afternoon. We've never seen the actual square so empty nor an absence of a queue to get in. We actually had a quick look inside, but it was so dark we came back out fairly quickly. I think you are supposed to pay for lighting the place. We revisited the Guggenheim and then got absolutely drenched on the way out. Followed by a long sit on the Vaporetto as it trugged its way round Venice before heading out to Murano.
