A Last Peak...

Our last walk down to Lukla, with horse and yak trains thick on the trail, and a reminder of the necessity to transport everything by foot into the Khumbu area. Many young boys must destroy their backs before adulthood, carrying loads more than their own weight for very little financial reward. I wonder if they ever appreciate the ethereal beauty which seems to float above them like this final glimpse of Kusum Kangguru, 6,367m. The mountains provide them with a living, but at what cost?

PLEASE meet granny in Yesterday's blip which I have just uploaded.
