Scones- now you see them.......

It was a case of 'now you see them....... now you don't, as these scones vanished off the plate during a coffee meet up with JoppaStrand and Tiggy.

To be strictly accurate most of them were demolished by His Lordship and my good self who should have known better and exhibited more restraint, but you already know how I am about scones. In the event, Mary Berry has no need to worry about her position, I have some way to go before I overtake her in scone making skills, but am winning hands down on the weight gaining skills.

We were relieved that JoppaStrand and Tiggy were still able to come for coffee given their horrible accident on Monday and the possible outcome had they not been incredibly lucky. However, they did escape unscathed and we had another very enjoyable morning catching up on news and putting the world to rights.

It's wonderful how chatting with friends brightens up the gloomiest of mornings.
