A Meandering Life...

By Skeena

Homeward Bound. EK015.

After a change of planes in Dubai our latest Hong Kong visit drew to a close. I could have Blipped looking down at a desert scene as we passed Saudi Arabia but this one I could pin point much better.

Here we have The Swale as it runs right to left into the Thames Estuary. We are looking south. The lower land mass is the Isle of Sheppey, above is Kent.

The small river inlet is Faversham Creek that runs into Faversham, the ancient summer capital of the Saxon Kings and birthplace of the explosives industry in England.

Just to the right lies Uplees the site of a huge explosion in April 1916 that ripped through a gunpowder mill killing 105 people.

I will attempt to look at all the Mono Monday images on Saturday.

This coming week's MM challenge is DIALOGUE...
